After being fractious in the tie-up stalls after arriving on course, underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Hampered on jumping. When asked to comment on the performance jockey R Maloney stated that the gelding overraced slightly, raced fresh, travelled well, however when placed under pressure proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had sustained a minor abrasion to the off hind bumper. A post-race swab sample was taken for analysis.
