Inclined to lay in in the early stages of the home straight. When questioned, apprentice J. Guthmann-Chester reported his mount travelled well in a handy position to the home turn, however when placed under pressure a short distance later failed to respond to his riding and proved disappointing. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities other than some mild dehydration.
