When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance of the mare which was heavily supported in betting, Trainer K Kemp reported that at the mares previous start it disappointed after missing the start badly. He added that as the mare was 3rd up from a spell in today’s race it had now reached peak fitness and based on its work in preparation for tonight’s event had expected a forward showing, particularly when in his opinion racing in inferior company to recent starts.
