Began awkwardly, shifting inwards abruptly. When questioned Jockey S Wilson advised that his intention was to lead but after beginning awkwardly and improving to a position behind the leader, the gelding commenced to over-race. Consequently, Jockey Wilson considered his best option was to allow his mount to stride forward.
