When asked to comment on the disappointing performance rider B Stewart reported the horse obtained an easy lead in the early stages and travelled well to the home turn, however when placed under pressure was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow post-race recovery.

Trainer M Mair was advised under the provisions of AR79(8) DANEROCK must gallop 1000m in the presence of a Steward prior to its next race start.
