When quest re ride of gelding, which was 1st up, Rdr said went into race without trial & told from wide gate, not to race any wider than 1 horse off rail-said after being brushed leaving gates, then placed mount awkwardly, steadied & shift towards rail-further said gelding was off the bit from 600m & not travelling well enough to take run after 500m-added, given instructs, elected to shift in on straightening to find clear run, obliged to shift to outside near 100m where gelding strode freely & went to end of race well, noting gelding gave impression looking for more ground.
