Stewards after taking evidence from trainer J Bruce and the rider of MATOWATAKPE, elected to adjourn and consider the matter. Stewards also intend to review wagering on the event and will resume at a time and date to be fixed. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
