Shifted wider passing the 1100m and made a forward move settling 3 wide outside the leaders near the 800m. Shifted ground under pressure down the running. When asked to comment on the seemingly improved performance, trainer J Edwards advised, in his opinion, the step up in distance was major contributing factor to the improved showing. Mr Edwards added that whilst he was expecting an improved showing as a result of the step up in distance, he was somewhat surprised to see the gelding win today’s event.
