Fractious after being loaded into the barriers, was removed, examined by veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Rider M Hellyer reported the mare was very anxious pre-race and that CHAMPAGNE DAISY, who was first up today, would benefit from today’s run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities and a post-race swab sample was taken. Following the event rider M Hellyer reported he was experiencing some discomfort in the right leg and right arm as a result of his mount being fractious in the barriers.
