Near the 700m, put in a number of awkward strides, shifted in making contact with the running rail, and as a result became unbalanced and lost significant ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to the inside of the near hind leg consistent with having been galloped on. Trainer M Caltabiano was advised that the gelding would be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to next racing.
