Rdr reported Blks were added to gelding’s gear today in an endeavour to assist it in beginning better-said gelding was unsettled in the gates and when the start was effected, was slow into stride and settled at the rear-added gelding travelled well in middle stages but when asked for an effort in the straight, responded only moderately and was disappointing. A post-race vet exam did not reveal any abs & sample taken for analysis.
