When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance Trainer S Field advised that he was not entirely disappointed with the performance of mare last start when racing first up from a significant spell on that occasion. He added with the benefit of race fitness and the engagement of a senior rider he had expected a forward showing from the mare in today’s event.
