Jockey M Cahill reported that after being slow to begin he rode vigorously in the early stages to quicken, however when passing the 1000m the horse commenced to over-race and he was unable to restrain his mount during the middle stages. Post-race vet examination revealed to horse to be exhibiting signs of heat stress.
