When asked re tactics adopted in middle stages, in particular as to whether there was an opportunity to settle back from leaders rather than race 3 wide outside lead, Rdr stated rode aggressively early & as horse was stepping up in distance, anticipated being able to cross to lead, however, approaching 900m, it became apparent was unable to cross closer than 3 wide-said attempted to restrain & settle horse, however, filly over raced & continued to do so until after 600m-added this had a detrimental effect on the horse’s finishing effort. Tnr said going for spell.
