Slow to begin. Rider B. Thompson reported to stewards that the mare was under pressure from the 800m and failed to respond to his urgings. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be exhibiting clinical signs of atrial fibrillation. Trainer T. Gollan was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness inclusive of an ECG would be required prior to the mare completing a trial to the satisfaction of stewards before being permitted to race again.
