The licence of J Grob, rider of LESMURDIE, was suspended to ride in races for a period of 10 days under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on ten occasions prior to the 100m, 5 more than permitted.

Caught racing three wide in the early stages before progressing forward to race outside the leader from the 1300m. When asked to comment on the performance rider K Wison-Taylor stated the horse travelled well to the home turn however when placed under pressure soon after failed to respond to his riding and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow post-race recovery. Trainer D Vandyke advised Stewards KOLLUR would now be leaving his stable.
