Change of tactics, to be ridden further back in the field circumstances permitted. Ridden accordingly. Raced three wide with cover for the majority of the event. Rider S Thornton reported the race over-raced in the early stages and was uncompetitive for the majority of the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow post-race recovery. Trainer R Peterson was advised the gelding would require a veterinary clearance including the results of an endoscopic examination prior to and following a satisfactory trial. Mr Peterson advised it would now be his intention to spell DUSTOFF
