Oakford reported that his mount began to weaken noticeably under pressure in the straight and made abnormal breathing noises and as a result he elected to not place VOICEOVER under pressure over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination confirmed the presence of a breathing problem and as such trainer Mr G. Green was advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance, including the results of an endoscopic examination, prior to racing again.
