When asked about disappointing performance, Rdr stated horse was not suited by the very fast pace in early and middle stages, where required to continually pressure gelding to maintain a forward position-added round home turn, was inconvenienced when crowded for room-further stated in home straight gelding became awkwardly placed at heels of weakening runner. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs.
