When asked to comment on the performance apprentice Z Lloyd advised stewards that the mare, after beginning awkwardly and settling at the tail of the field, travelled comfortably, however proved to be one paced when asked for a finishing effort and in his opinion would be better suited to races over longer distances than that of today’s event.

Rider reported that the mare was making an abnormal respiratory noise during the event. Post-race veterinary examination revealed the presence of blood in the offside nostril. Trainer D Reynolds was advised that the mare must gallop 1000m in the presence of a steward prior to racing again.
