Stewards permitted apprentice S Tomlinson to claim only 1.5 kg of his 2kg allowance on the mare. S Tomlinson was subsequently fined $200 under AR 143(14)(a) for failing to claim his full allowance. Raced three wide for the majority of the event. Hung out passing the 700 metres and commenced to weaken. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the near foreleg. Trainer K Martin was advised FLEUR DE JOUR would require a veterinary certificate prior to its next race start.
