When asked to comment on the performance of the mare, jockey P Hammersley reported that due to the fast early tempo, after beginning only reasonably the mare settled further back than he had anticipated. Jockey Hammersley added that as a result of this the mare was very reluctant to stretch out through the kick back and as a consequence, trailed the field throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
