B/Awkwardly. Laid out under pressure leaving 600m. When quest re tactics, Rdr advised had previously ridden gelding forward last preparation & from a wider draw, was intention to settle further forward than at its previous start-added whilst it wasn’t intention to lead, felt gelding travelled comfortably until placed under pressure approaching h/turn where it failed to respond to riding & proved disappointing. Tnr confirmed instructs & said was somewhat disappointed with performance, & he would report back re gelding's condition. Post race vet exam revealed no abs.
