Rdr could offer no explanation for disappointing performance other than when gelding was placed under pressure in h/straight failed to respond to riding and commenced to weaken from the 150m. A post race vet exam revealed gelding to have a very poor recovery. Tnr advised gelding required to Officially trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again.
