Rdr advised instructed to go forward if possible, and after beginning awkwardly, gave consideration to restraining to take up a trailing position, however; being mindful of instructions, elected to go forward to a position outside the lead where mount then raced keenly until entering home straight-added in hindsight, believed mount would have been better served being restrained at the start and take up a rearward position with cover. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs.
