M. Cahill reported that after obtaining the lead comfortably without pressuring his mount, the gelding refused to settle and led by a margin further than he anticipated. He added that in his opinion the gelding does not run out a strong 1600m and he recommended to the stable that they restrict the gelding’s races to distances shorter than that of today’s event.
