Race 1 - CALOUNDRA RSL SUB BRANCH MAIDEN HANDICAP              1800 M
 
WASAI - Slow to begin.

WURZBURG – After being late on course due to traffic issues, underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Over-raced throughout the event.  Inclined to lay in whilst weakening passing the 200m. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted and the performance, apprentice McColm stated that he was satisfied to settle with cover during the early stages, however when the gelding commenced to over-race after passing the 1600m he advised stewards that with hindsight he may have been better served shifting wider and allowing WURZBURG to stride forward. Post-race vet examination revealed no abnormalities.

BLOOD RED – Slow to begin.

Race 2 - HOMEFRONT AUSTRALIA BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP   2245 M
 
CONEY ISLAND BABY – Began awkwardly, shifted out bumping ORMOND ROAD and lost ground.   
MISS DYNAMO – Had difficulty securing clear running during the early stages of the home straight before shifting out and bumping with ORMOND ROAD near the 250m.

PAPAL MISS - Declared a late scratching at 4.45pm due to becoming fractious in the tie-up stalls. Trainer V Venkaya was advised that PAPAL MISS will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
 
ORMOND ROAD – Bumped on jumping. Bumped and forced wider near the 250m when MISS DYNAMO shifted out to obtain clear running.



Race 3 - TOTAL VETERAN HEALTHCARE MAIDEN PLATE  1400 M

EXOBRAZEN – Raced wide during the early stages. Disappointed for a run near the 250m and had to be steadied when KINGS DOMAIN shifted out, B Youngberry, the rider of KINGS DOMAIN was advised to exercise greater care.

KING CHANCE – Obliged to steady near the 1000m when RISING QUEEN shifted in. R Maloney, the rider of RISING QUEEN, was reprimanded for this incident.

TESTY NIC – Improved onto heels and had to be checked when the pace slackened near the 800m. Tightened for room near the 500m when improving into restricted room to the inside of EXOBRAZEN, which shifted in after that runner initially shifted out, becoming awkwardly placed inside the heels of ZOUMAN.

ZOUMAN – Raced wide throughout.

AKIRA SAN – Steadied from heels near the 800.Improved onto heels and shifted wider when rounding the home turn.
 
QUEEN VICTORIOUS – Improved onto heels and had to be checked near the 800m when the pace slackened. Checked after being tightened for room leaving the 700m when racing between EXOBRAZEN, which shifted in and TESTY NIC. M Powell, the rider of EXOBRAZEN, pleaded guilty to a charge under AR131(a) in that at a point leaving the 700m he allowed his mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear of QUEEN VICTORIOUS resulting in that horse losing its rightful running and being checked. M Powell’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 10 days commencing midnight 6/10/26 until midnight 16/10/26. Bumped and carried wider when rounding the home turn. 
 
SOUL DISPLAY – Began awkwardly. Over-raced during the early stages and raced greenly throughout. Tightened for room and severely checked near the 500m when racing to the inside of TESTY NIC, which shifted in after improving into restricted room to the inside of EXOBRAZEN, which shifted in when awkwardly placed at the heels of ZOUMAN. Post-race vet examination revealed no abnormalities.


Race 4 - CALOUNDRA RSL SERVICES CLUB RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 HANDICAP  1000 M
 
CAPITAL CEE  - Slow to begin. Held up for clear running between the 250m and 100m.
 
CAPIANA – Tightened for room on jumping. Raced wide throughout.

HERECOMESANTORINI – Held up for clear running when rounding the home turn and during the early stages of the home straight.

SAPANA'S PEARL – Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped GALLERY MASTER. Raced wide throughout.

RALOS STAR  - Slow to begin.
 
KEMAL – Raced wide throughout.   
 
GALLERY MASTER – Tightened for room on jumping.        


Race 5 - VETERANS WELLBEING FOUNDATION (VWF) CLASS 5 PLATE 1000 M
 
Due to a patron being ill, Races 5, 6 and 7 were rescheduled by 10 minutes.
 
CAPITAL HEART – Slow to begin.

CHALICE WELL – Over-raced during the early stages. After being held up for clear running when rounding the home turn, shifted out and bumped HIDDEN NUGGET.

GAMBLER – Had some difficulty securing clear running during the early stages of the home straight.

HIDDEN NUGGET – Raced wide throughout. Bumped and forced wider when rounding the home turn.


Race 6 -TINNITUS RELIEF AUSTRALIA RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 HANDICAP  1300 M
 
LYRICAL GANGSTER – Whilst over-racing near the 900m was bumped by JE REVE and shifted in.
 
RICKYTHESTEAMBOAT – Raced wide throughout.

CLUBHOUSE - Slow to begin. Steadied from heels near the 900m when the pace slackened.
 
INQUISITOR – Required pre-race farrier attention, was examined by the vet and cleared to start. Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Steadied from heels near the 900m when the pace slackened.

IMZADA – Slow to begin.  Inclined to lay out when placed under pressure. Raced wide throughout. 
PACIERA – Whilst over-racing was placed in restricted room and was inconvenienced near the 900m when LYRICAL GANGSTER, whilst also over-racing was bumped and taken in by JE REVE. Held up for clear running during the early stages of the home straight and obliged to shift in near the 300m in order to secure clear running.

DAZZLING DIAMOND – Inconvenienced near the 250m when JE REVE was taken out by LYRICAL GANGSTER which shifted out to improve. Jockey G Geran was reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR131(a) for this incident.
 
LYRICAL GANGSTER - Near the 900m whilst also over-racing was taken in by JE REVE.
 
TANGO QUEEN (NZ) – Fractious in the barrier and began very awkwardly losing significant ground. Over-raced during the early stages and improved to the lead whilst racing wide. Post-race vet examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer S Sutherland was advised that it must trial prior to racing again.

CHEERS – Incorrectly presented with pre-race earmuffs and trainer T Thomas was issued with a reprimanded pursuant to AR206. Improved onto heels near the 200m and was steadied.

RARE MOON – Held up for clear running from the home turn until near the 200m. Raced wide throughout.    
 
JE REVE – Bumped with LYRICAL GANGSTER near the 900m and shifted in slightly. Inconvenienced and forced wider near the 250m.


Race 7 - DC EQUIPMENT HIRE RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 HANDICAP  1600 M
 
KNOWITALL FRANK   - Raced wide throughout. Over-raced during the middle stages. Post-race vet examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
ROYAL DIPLOMAT – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced ungenerously during the early stages. Had difficulty securing clear running rounding the home turn. Vet examination revealed a poor post-race recovery.                    

ARAMINTA – Slow to begin. 
 
FLOP SHOT – Laid in over the concluding stages.


Race 8 - COOLUM - PEREGIAN RSL SUB BRANCH BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP  1600 M
 
DON'TCHA THINK – Over-raced during the early stages. Shifted out under pressure in the home straight.

LUCONI – Held up for clear running when rounding the home turn and disappointed for a run near the 200m to the outside of DON’TCHA THINK which shifted under pressure.

NAVY NINA (NZ) – Tired in the home straight. Post-race vet examination found the mare to have cardiac arrythmia, Trainer T Pollard was advised of his requirements as per Racing Australia Policy.

OUT OF LUCK - Began awkwardly and lost ground. J Bayliss pleaded guilty to a charge under AR132(6)(a) in that he applied the whip forward of the shoulder on 2 occasions and was fined the sum of $200.
