Jockey Tomizawa corroborated the instructions and advised that after beginning neutrally, the mare had not taken up the bit as quickly as he had expected and after runners to his outside had been ridden positively and commenced to cross it became apparent he would be caught wide should he attempt to settle in a prominent or midfield position and therefore elected to steady his mount into a rearward position, ultimately settling into last place on the inside running rail.
