A number of urine samples were collected from riders at this meeting.
 
RACE 1: HIPPITY HOPPITY MAIDEN PLATE - 1000M
 
BESTERS – Began awkwardly.
 
RACE 2: CHOCOLATE OVERLOAD BM 65 H’CAP- 1000M
 
IT’S WANTED – Made contact with the gate leaving the enclosure. Subsequently underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to race.
 
SMOOTH HUSTLER – Hung out throughout.
 
ESSAKA – Hung out leaving the 600m.
 
RACE 3: IT'S ALL ABOUT THE EGGS BM 45 H’CAP- 900M
 
No racing incidents.
 
 
RACE 4: BUNNIES BOUNCE BILBIES QTIS CLASS 1 H’CAP- 1200M
 
IT’S MY TIME – Bled both nostrils for the first time. Trainer representative C. Watkins was advised that the mare would not be permitted to race for a period of 3 months and would have to gallop 1000m to the satisfaction of the stewards prior to racing again.
 
PLAY THING – Shifted out on jumping.
 
RACE 5:EASTER BASKET BM 60 H’CAP - 1640M
DITZY DARCI – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and revealed to be suffering hives subsequently was declared a late scratching at 4:05pm on veterinary advice. On the announcement of correct weight stewards ordered that all monies invested in DITZI DARCI be refunded, with the following deductions to apply to successful wagers:
 
1 cents in the dollar for the win #4
10 cents in the dollar for place of winner #4
7 cents in the dollar for 2nd place #1
 
ARIGOLD – Reared as the start was effected and lost ground.
 
GID UP STROP – Passing the winning post on the first occasion attempted to improve into a run where there was doubtful room and as a consequence was obliged to take hold.
