6 Sasha The Dasher – Checked off the heels of another runner rounding the first turn, lost ground and fell. Took no further competitive part. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the left hamstring, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 7 days.
8 Birdie’s Charm – Severely checked by the fallen runner and lost considerable ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the left shoulder, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 3 days.

2 Moneyball – Bumped in the back straight. Checked rounding the first turn. Appeared awkward in its action after exiting the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the left back muscle, under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was stood down for 5 days.

1 Is That You – Commenced to lose ground shortly after the start. Took no further competitive part. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards spoke to trainer Ms. B. Chaffey who stated the greyhound appeared to become very awkward in its action shortly after the start and agreed with Stewards that the greyhound’s performance was unsatisfactory. After considering all available evidence, acting under the provisions of GAR129(b) Stewards ordered that Ms Chaffey produce a veterinary certificate for Is That You prior to any future nominations being accepted.
