Race 1 - DYNAMIC ELECTRICAL MAIDEN 407m

Spot On Betty – Appeared to falter in its action in the back straight and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a strain to the right wrist and hip soreness with a 7 day stand down being issued.

Six Hot Donuts – Severely checked and dragged down from behind in the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 2 - DYNAMIC REFRIGERATION NOVICE 407m

Jester Beach – Severely checked around the first turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Rosdue Beach – Appeared to ease close to the finish. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards inquired into the greyhounds’ actions in the run to the finish. After considering the available replays, their own observations and submissions from trainer M Partland, stewards were satisfied that Rosdue Beach had failed to pursue with due commitment by turning its head inwards noticeably over the final stages and eased at the same time. Acting under GAR124(1) for a first offence the greyhound has been stood down for 28 days at Rockhampton and until the completion of a satisfactory trial.

Race 3 - REGGIE'S PODCAST GRADE 4 407m

Race 4 - BECKETT FAMILY MIXED 3/4 407m

Agitate – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards inquired into the greyhounds’ actions in the home straight. After considering the available replays, their own observations and submissions from trainers representative J Chaffey, stewards were satisfied that Agitate had marred the running of another runner by turning its head towards Kingsbrae Smokey in the home straight and then shifted inwards making head or muzzle contact with that greyhound. Acting under GAR123 the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 28 days at Rockhampton and until the completion of a satisfactory trial for a first offence.

Race 5 - A2Z DENTAL ROCKHAMPTON GRADE 5 (1) 510m

Lone Hunter – Checked racing off the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed soreness to the shoulder and hip regions and a 5 day stand down was issued. Stewards inquired into the greyhounds’ actions in home straight. After considering the available replays, their own observations and submissions from trainer J Kuhn and owner D Taylor, stewards were satisfied that had failed to pursue with due commitment by shifting out towards Waikare Venom in the home straight and turning its head towards that runner. Acting under GAR125(1) for failing to pursue by injury and as a first offence the greyhound has been stood down for the veterinary endorsed 5 days and the completion of a satisfactory trial.

Race 6 - PARKHURST QUALITY MEATS GRADE 5 (2) 510m

Academy - A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Stewards inquired into the greyhounds’ actions in the home straight. After considering the available replays, their own observations and submissions from trainer W Warner, stewards were satisfied that Academy had marred the running of another runner by turning its head outwards towards Winnie Rumble in the home straight and then shifted outwards making head or muzzle contact with that greyhound on a number of occasions. Acting under GAR123 the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 28 days at Rockhampton and until the completion of a satisfactory trial for a second offence.

Race 7 - LOVE A GREYHOUND 1-3 WINS FINAL 1-3 WINS 407m

General Shylock – A post-race veterinary examination at the request of the trainer revealed no apparent abnormalities.

Race 8 - DINKY DI WEB DESIGN BEST 8 407m

No matters of concern to stewards.

Race 9 - GARRARD'S HORSE & HOUND GRADE 5 (1) 407m

Toss The Coin – Declared a late scratching at 7.50pm acting on veterinary advice. When retrieved from the kennels for pre-race identification was found to have thigh strain and a 5 day stand down was issued.

Golden Envy – A post-race veterinary examination revealed a right wrist strain and a 5 day stand down was issued.

Race 10 - SKY RACING GRADE 5 (2) 407m

Lissy’s Gem - Stewards inquired into the greyhounds’ actions in the home straight. After considering the available replays, their own observations and submissions from trainer M Boody, stewards were satisfied that Lissy’s Gem had marred the running of another runner by turning its head outwards towards Mung Bean in the home straight and then shifted outwards making head or muzzle contact with that greyhound on a number of occasions. Acting under GAR123 the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 28 days at Rockhampton and until the completion of a satisfactory trial for a first offence.

Race 11 - PARKHURST QUALITY MEATS MA5 407m

Blue Rex – A post-race veterinary examination revealed right wrist strain and a 7 day stand down was issued.

Race 12 - REGGIE'S PODCAST 5PW 407m

Farmor Elected – Checked racing off the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
