General: Stewards inspected the track surface prior to the running of Race 5 and deemed the surface suitable for racing.

Stewards inspected the track surface prior to the running of Race 9 and deemed the track unsuitable for racing. Furthermore, considering the inclement and forecasted weather the race meeting was abandoned.

Race 1 - LADBROKES RACING CLUB MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN P 288m

No matters of concern to Stewards.

Race 2 - SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN P 288m

2 Firefly Schooner – Appeared awkward in its action throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant injury.

2 Miluna Dingo – Entering the turn out of the back straight was checked off heels and fell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside deltoid and offside hip support. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 10 days.

4 Austria’s Vienna – Entering the turn out of the back straight was checked and fell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hindleg. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 90 days, and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to returning to racing.

Race 4 - QGRC MAIDEN HEAT 4 MAIDEN P 288m

3 News Bulletin – Entering the turn out of the back straight was checked and fell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside bicep and nearside scapula. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 60 days, and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to returning to racing.

Race 5 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS MAIDEN HEAT 5 MAIDEN P 288m

7 Alpha Moonshine – Entering the first turn was checked and fell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside metacarpals. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 28 days, and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to returning to racing.

Race 6 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE MAIDEN HEAT 6 MAIDEN P 288m

4 Vampire Money – Through the turn out of the back straight turned and looked outwards to the outside runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hip support. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 7 days.

6 Wild William – Through the turn out of the back straight and through the home straight gave ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside pin. Under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound was subsequently stood down from racing for 7 days.
