General: Stewards delayed the All Clear in Race 3 to review the start of the race. After reviewing the race replay and acting on their own observations, Stewards were comfortably satisfied that no greyhounds had their starting chances materially affected and therefore declared All Clear on the judge’s semaphored numbers.

 

 

Race 1 - LADBROKES BET TICKER MAIDEN 520m

 

3 Lagniappe – Contacted the running rail approaching the first turn and lost ground. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

 

Race 2 - SKY RACING NOVICE 520m

 

5 Hey Jack – Shortened in stride approaching the first turn, losing considerable ground and taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed injuries to the offside front foot and offside calf muscle and under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

Race 3 - THE Q 2025 GRADE 5 630m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 4 - GREYHOUNDS MAKE GREAT PETS GRADE 5 (1) 431m

 

5 Spring Aura – Checked off heels and lost ground sharply leaving the turn off the back straight, taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hock and under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 90 days. Spring Aura must trial prior to any future nomination being accepted.

 

Race 5 - ROSEWOOD VETERINARY SERVICE MIXED 3/4 431m

Race 6 - CHASE NEWSPAPER GRADE 5 (1) 520m

Race 7 - GREYHOUND GEAR GRADE 5 (2) 520m

Race 8 - M & K BUTCHERS MIXED 4/5 520m

 

5 Tank Engine – Severely checked shortly after the start, losing considerable ground and taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hip and under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days.

 

Race 9 - LADBROKES ODDS SURGE GRADE 5 (2) 431m

Race 10 – QGRC GRADE 5 (3) 431m
