Race 1 - HIGGINS COATING PTY LTD MAIDEN HEAT 1 MAIDEN 2 520m

 

2 Giverny – On numerous occasions turned its head to the outside runner through the back turn and to the inside runner in the home straight.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside forelimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days. Steward’s spoke to trainer S.Ellis regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 125 Failing to pursue by reason of injury – 7 days stand down Ipswich and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

3 Kerb Stone Cool – Checked and fell entering the home straight taking no further competitive part in the event.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 2 - TRADE BUILDERS SUPPLIES MAIDEN HEAT 2 MAIDEN 2 520m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 3 - CA STRATEGIC ENGINEERING SERVICES PTY LTD MAIDEN HEAT 3 MAIDEN 2 520m

 

4 Karma Chaos – Shifted in soon after the start.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hindlimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 10 days. Stewards spoke to trainer K.Davies regarding the greyhounds’ actions.  Stewards noted the explanation.

 

8 Barefoot Betty – Checked and fell through the first turn taking no further competitive part in the event.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside hindlimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.

 

Race 4 - THE PEOPLES GYM NOVICE 2 520m

 

No matters of concern to Stewards.

 

Race 5 - CORPORATE DOLLARS CHALLENGE HEAT 1 GRADE 5 2 520m

 

8 Blue Art – Turned its head to the outside taking its attention away from the lure through the back turn.  Turned its head to the outside runner and made muzzle contact in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to trainer R.Ayres regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 123 Marring – 28 days stand down at Ipswich and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

Race 6 - CORPORATE DOLLARS CHALLENGE HEAT 2 GRADE 5 2 520m

 

3 Born To Rave – On numerous occasions turned its head to the outside runner in the home straight.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

Stewards spoke to trainer M.Bourke regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Failing to pursue – 3 months stand down at all tracks and must complete 2 satisfactory steward’s trials prior to racing next.

 

Race 7 - VINCE CURRY MEMORIAL (G3) FINAL MAIDEN 2 520m

 

2 Satoshi – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the nearside forelimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 14 days.

 

3 Apex – Severely checked through the first turn and commenced to give ground.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.

 

Race 8 - CORPORATE DOLLARS CHALLENGE HEAT 3 GRADE 5 2 520m

Race 9 - ADAM JOHNS PLUMBING PTY LTD GRADE 5 3 630m

 

2 Mum’s Tiger – Turned its head towards the inside runner in the back straight.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.  Stewards spoke to trainer D.Bailey regarding the greyhound’s racing manners. After considering all available evidence, Stewards invoked GAR 124 Failing to pursue – 28 days stand down at Ipswich and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

Race 11 – STAR REALTY MIXED 4/5 2 431m

 

8 Spring Ned – Commenced to give ground through the back turn appearing injured.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside hindlimb and under the provisions of GAR 41(1) the greyhound has been stood down from racing for 90 days and must complete a satisfactory steward’s trial prior to racing next.

 

Race 12 - MCMILLANS BUS CHARTER TOWERS GRADE 5 2 431m
