8 Howdy Hope – Checked off heels rounding the turn off the back straight and fell, taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the offside shoulder and under the provisions of GAR41(1) the greyhound has been stood down for 7 days.

2 Fanciful – Turned its head inwards making head and muzzle contact with another runner to its inside at the top of the home straight. Stewards spoke to kennel representative Amy Donnelly regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. After reviewing the race footage and hearing Ms Donnelly’s submissions, Stewards invoked GAR123 Marring (3rd offence) and stood down Fanciful for 3 months at all tracks plus the completion of 2 x satisfactory trials. |
