The Bowen Turf Club non-TAB race meeting scheduled for Saturday 27 February 2021 has been abandoned due to weather and the state of the track.
Bowen’s Ben Bolt racecourse received 10mm of rainfall yesterday. A further heavy downpour was recorded late morning on raceday and a subsequent QRIC Stewards inspection determined that the racecourse was unsuitable for racing with surface water pooling in a number of areas on the racetrack.
RQ will liaise with the Bowen Turf Club regarding suitable opportunities in the future for a replacement race meeting.
A phantom (betting) meeting will still be conducted today with all facilities available.
