As much as $6 is being offered up about Stradbroke Handicap favourite The Bostonian, but trainer Tony Pike feels the Kiwi galloper would be much shorter if he had a different name.
The Bostonian has won the Group I double of the Doomben 10,000 and the Kingsford-Smith Cup on the bounce – and is unbeaten in five Queensland starts which included a three-win campaign in the Sunshine State last year.
Pike feels punters are slowly catching on that is four-year-old son of Jimmy Choux is a very, very good horse – but perhaps bookies aren’t giving him the same respect.
