Capalaba will host an 8 race card on Melbourne Cup Day, Tuesday 7 November 2017. All races will be completed before the Melbourne Cup jumps at 2pm (QLD). Nominations for this meeting will close on Monday 6 November 2017 at 9.30am. The feature race will be the Capelbourne Cup with total prizemoney of $2185 ($1530 to the winner). The race is open to any greyhound that has raced at Capalaba in 2017. Trainers must nominate specifically for the race to be eligible. The final field will be selected from the fastest recorded times in 2017 with the meeting on Saturday 4 November the last opportunity to qualify for the event.
