Passing the 100m changed course to the outside of heels to gain clear running. When questioned as to whether he could have placed his mount under pressure sooner than he did, rider explained was instructed that the gelding has a short sprint and for this reason he was reluctant to place his mount under pressure in the early part of the straight until the 300m, where it was improving and continued to make ground to the finish. He added he had advised connections the gelding may be better suited with the addition of visors or winkers.

Nevertheless, trainer was advised a veterinary clearance would be required prior to racing again.Cleared to race.
