Stewards questioned Jockey K. Zechner regarding the gelding settling in a rearward position and the overall performance of the gelding. Jockey Zechner explained that he had intended in securing a forward position however the gelding failed to muster early speed and when crossed by outside runners this resulted in the gelding settling further back than anticipated. Jockey Zechner further added that the gelding was one paced and wasn’t suited when obliged to race in a rearward position. Stewards noted the explanation.
