Momentarily crowded for room approaching the 400m when MISHANI BLOSSOM shifted out before being corrected by its rider, and shortly after became awkwardly placed at the heels of VERTICAL which laid in slightly and, as a result, THE TYLER clipped that runner’s heels and blundered.

Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination at the request of the Stewards and was passed suitable to race. Performed below market expectations. Rider J Guthmann-Chester reported that the mare showed early pace, however when placed in restricted racing room by NOR FORCE near the 600m the mare was reluctant remain to the inside that runner and lost ground of its own accord and travelled only reasonably from that point, proving disappointing. Trainer M Fry stated that in his opinion the interference at the 600m had a detrimental effect on the horses finishing efforts.

When questioned re performance, rdr std her mnt travelled well throughout the early and middle stages, however was disappointing in the manner in which it weakened over the final 200m. She added the only explanation she could offer was that her mnt is immature and may have failed to run out the 1250m at this stage of its career. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. Tnr subsequently reported she was satisfied with the post-race condition of the gelding.
