When questioned in relation to the below market expectation performance of the filly, trainer C Smith advised that in his opinion after suffering interference at the start the filly was not suited when forced to race at the rear of the field on the tight turning track and as a consequence was unable to run on when placed under pressure in the home straight.

When questioned regarding tactics adopted today, jockey B El-Issa stated there were no specific instructions issued from the stable. He added that after JENO began well and with limited pace from runners to his inside he then elected to press forward and find the lead. Trainer P Duff concurred with jockey El-Issa’s comments and added that circumstances early in the event resulted in his runner finding an unexpected lead. Stewards noted the comments.
