Parisian Lady Rider B Thompson advised he elected to race three wide without cover from the 900m due to the slow early pace, however when placed under pressure in the home straight was disappointing. Ipswich 12/10/2022

Realaide Raced wide in the early stages of the event. J Huxtable, rider of RELAIDE, was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on seven occasions prior to the 100m, 2 more than permitted. J Huxtable reported after settling at the rear of the field RELAIDE was not suited by the slow tempo in the early and middle stages of the event. Eagle Farm 21/12/2022
Tolkowsky Shifted out under pressure in the home straight. J Huxtable, rider of fourth placegetter TOLKOWSKY, pleaded guilty to charge under AR131(b) in that he failed to ride his mount out fully to the end of the race and was fined $400. In arriving at penalty Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that J Huxtable’s actions had cost TOLKOWSKY third place. Sunshine Coast 02/12/2022

Katdeel Rider reported the horse had a tendency to hang out during the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to the near fore fetlock. Trainer B. Laming advised that he would have his stable veterinarian examine the horse in the coming days and would report any findings to stewards. Sunshine Coast 28/08/2022

Fractious after being loaded into the barriers. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. When asked to comment on the performance rider J Orman stated the horse settled one pair further back than anticipated in the run, adding that it had been a month since its most recent start and that in his opinion BEAUREGARD would derive fitness benefit today’s race. Zuri Zuri When quest re perf rdr stated from wide barrier he was inst to be conservative early & ride for luck. Rdr stated mount settled on fence worse than midfield. Rdr stated that when leading division commenced to improve leaving 600m mount was unable to improve with them when continually held up on heels. Rdr stated mount remained held up on heels until passing 200m however it was unable to make any ground on runners in advance from this point. P/R vet exam no ab's. Ballina 16/12/2022

My Snow Queen When quest re perf. app stated mount settled in a fwd position & he took a sit back off the leaders, who set a genuine tempo. App stated that his mount felt reluctant to stretch out in the straight & gave him the impression it would appreciate more give in the ground. A post race veterinary examination of the mare revealed it to have a slow recovery rate. Trainer agreed with the sentiments of app & advised in the days subsequent that the mare was short in front & he would have his stable vet investigate. Vet clearance required PTNS. Tightened for room and checked at the start. Rider reported that, as a result of tightening at the start, he was obliged to race further back in the field than he would have liked. I Am The Empire (IRE) Rdr reported that the colt raced ungenerously and was inclined to hang out for the majority of the event. He added that when placed under pressure rounding the home turn, his mnt did not respond to his riding and, when he became concerned with its action over the final 100 metres, he desisted from riding the colt out for the remainder of the event.
