He indicated that he had expected a forward showing today as the gelding has good form when racing on sand surfaces and appears to particularly appreciate the Gympie track. He was also at a loss to explain the horses’ poor performance at Stanthorpe last start, other than to say the horse did become agitated when pre-race swab sampled and also this was THE CARPENTER’S first start at the venue and may not have handled the track.
