Wiggins advised that after beginning poorly, his bridle malfunctioned and as a result he was unable to steer his mount and elected to withdraw it from the event. Trainer R. Vale was advised that ALLANON will be required to trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to returning to racing.

Upon returning to scale, Jockey Ryan Wiggins reported that his mount lost its near-fore plate in running, and as a result felt that the horse was awkward in its action in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed to have abrasions to the near-fore heel.

When asked to comment rider J Orman stated LUCIFER’S LOOT was inclined to hang out in the home straight placing him at some disadvantage and being unable to fully test the horse over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor post-race recovery. Trainer N McCall was advised the horse would require a veterinary clearance, including a satisfactory ECG report, prior to its next race start. A swab sample was taken from LUCIFER’S LOOT.
