Patrolling
|
Rider reported that after being crowded at the start, mnt settled further back in the field than was intended. He added that the gelding was then inclined to lay in rounding the home turn and did not stretch out fully in the home straight. He said as he had some concern with the gelding's action, he did not test it over the final 100m. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. Having regard to the comments expressed by the rider, the Stewards advised trainer that a vet clearance would be required prior to the gelding being permitted to barrier trial/race again.
