When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding rider stated that she was instructed to establish a better than midfield position with cover. She added that her mount travelled only fairly in the early stages, as a result was caught wide throughout. She further added that her mount made an abnormal respiratory noise and became under pressure from the 600m and failed to finish the event off. A postrace veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer was advised that the gelding would need to barrier trial prior to racing again.

Co-trainer stated that the gelding had pleased in it work wearing the blinkers, and it was now the intention for the stable to step the gelding up in distance.
