When questioned in relation to the performance rider stated that it was her intention to settle on pace in today’s event however the gelding failed to muster early speed. Rider stated the gelding travelled only fairly in the early and middle stages however when placed under pressure upon entrance to the straight the gelding failed to sprint and ground it way to the line. Vet no abs.

When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of the mare, rider advised that after the incident near the 600m her mount did not travel from this point and failed to respond to her riding in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare did not reveal any abnormality.
