When questioned re riding in early part of home straight, Rdr advised instructions were to race in a rearward position and not go wide around the home turn-added round home turn, remained to the inside and after the 300m, shifted out to a run between other runners adding as mare carried head in a high position, waited until being sure had clear running to apply hard pressure.

Jockey reported that his mount travelled wide, albeit with cover, throughout the early and middle stages. He stated that after placing the mare under pressure to improve rounding the home turn, it failed to quicken and was disappointing in the run to the line. He added that, he was of the opinion, the mare raced flat. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
