When questioned in relation to the seemingly improved performance, trainer M Morrison advised that in his opinion the mare resented the cross over noseband last start and for that reason he removed this gear from the horse for today’s event. Mr Morrison added that the drop back in distance to 900m, where the mare has previously performed well, was also a major contributing factor to the improved performance. Stewards noted the explanation.
